Why the food tour has three prices
The price follows what it costs to run your bike, not the food. A self-rider pays USD 39 because the scooter is theirs to ride and the guide leads the line. A pillion guest has a guide-driver to themselves, so the price rises to USD 69 each when two or more book together, and USD 89 for someone travelling alone who would otherwise share that cost with nobody.
One more number to know: if a self-rider does not meet the six conditions on the day - licence, age, no alcohol, a safe test ride - they move to a guide-driver bike and pay the USD 30 difference then. If you have any doubt about your permit, book pillion from the start; the tour page explains how to check it.

Supplements
- Food tour pick-up outside Duong Dong: quoted when you book, by distance. From the far south or the north of the island the drive alone can take a large part of an hour each way.
- Transfer to a cooking class: optional, quoted when you book.
- Extra drinks: paid on the spot at the price of the place you are in.
We do not add booking fees or service charges. Card payments carry the card processor's fee of about 3%, shown separately; bank transfers carry only your own bank's charge.
Paying, changing and cancelling
Payment is 100% when your date is confirmed, by card link or bank transfer. There is no deposit, because nothing here is longer than an evening. The details are on the how to pay page.
| When you cancel | What you get back |
|---|---|
| More than 48 hours before the start | Everything, less any card fee already charged |
| Between 48 and 24 hours before | Half |
| Less than 24 hours before, or no-show | Nothing |
| We cancel for weather or safety | Everything, or a free move to another session |
The full wording is in the booking terms. Changing to another session or date is free when there is space, if you ask more than 24 hours ahead.
Common questions
Questions travellers ask most
Are prices per person or per group?
Per person, for every experience.
Do children pay less?
In the two cooking classes, yes: USD 35 for Roll & Brew and USD 39 for Pass It On Kitchen, ages 6 to 11. The food tour has no child rate because the minimum age is 12.
Why is the solo pillion price higher?
Because a single guest still needs a guide-driver and a bike to themselves, and there is nobody to share that cost with.
Can I pay in Vietnamese dong?
Prices are set in US dollars. Ask when you book if you would rather pay in dong by bank transfer and we will quote the amount.
